 The Crazy Truth I Call Life...

My life was made up, like most people’s, of heartache, desperation, drama, beautiful moments, love and love lost, hills, curves, twists, some wins and lots of failures.  I’ve raised many children, buried grandparents, taken care of others and…thankfully, God had many that looked out for me.

I spent much of my life with such a broken spirit!  One day, staring at my swollen, pregnant belly in the mirror, I had to make a decision, “Do I want to stay sad or change my life?”  I definitely wanted to change my life but I had no intention of stopping there!  I was determined to challenge others to drop the excuses and go where they’ve only dreamed of going before.​
 
I just had no idea how I was going to it! Once upon a time, I was living on food stamps and WIC, my car was about to be repossessed, and my rent was so far behind that I can't imagine why my landlords didn't just throw us out! I needed new tires on my car so badly but I was broke, so broke, in fact, I had to drive to my grandfather's house on the way to work to air them up when I had a leak. I didn't even have enough spare change to buy air or have the holes plugged!
 
Even though my finances were a mess, I would find any kind of personal development tools I could find; videos, webinars, books, and seminars...spending what I could afford to better myself.
 
BUT...something was still missing.
 
I was working so hard on myself, doing everything that all of my education was teaching me to do; thinking positive, reciting affirmations, step by step what to say and how to talk...
 
AND...nothing!
 
Then one day I had a light bulb moment. Dink!
 
I was listening to teachings from one of the guys featured on the Secret and I figured out I had not dealt with my stuff.
 
Dang! And there I was thinking I was all super healed and nothing could stop me! WRONG!
 
And that is where my POWER journey truly began! I am on a mission to empower others to understand their worth, heal their spirit and inspire life through motivational enlightenment and personal growth.
 
The truth is, The Real You is, was, and always will be Written in Stone.

Cannon Alexander Burns

 

Cannon was born and single mom life continued. He was my light, my reason, my heart. Little did I know he was going to teach me more about myself than all my other experiences combined did.  

2016

Published My First Book “This Woman’s Worth"

 

Writing a book with a baby is nothing short of hard work. I learned how to get creative with my writing time, taking care of Cannon, & working. Learning to be bold, confident, & determined paved the way to publishing my book.

‘Women Mean Business'

 

When I was asked to speak at this group luncheon, I really thought it was going to be easy...A PIECE OF CAKE. I was so nervous, I read every word and embarrassed myself so badly I thought I would never speak publicly again! Luckily, I got over it and got a speaking coach.

I knew Cannon had learning differences but I wasn’t sure what that meant for him. At 3-years-old, I could barely understand anything he said. Speech therapy was only the beginning of our dyslexia journey.

My Airbnb Hosting business began purely by accident. As I’ve pursued my passion of Life & Business Coaching, Airbnb has given me the time freedom & financial support I needed to allow me to stick with growing as a Coach.

Spoke At Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Survivors Breakfast

 

I was determined to deliver words of encouragement while overcoming my fear of speaking publicly. Was it easy? Definitely not! But I knew if I wanted to help other women to overcome their fears, I had to overcome my own.

Coaching Certification

 

Being a Certified Life Coach was important to me. I want my clients to feel secure knowing I worked hard to gain the knowledge to serve them well to the best of my ability. Being a single mom was never my reason not achieve a goal...it has always been my WHY.

Birth of My Grandson, Maximus

 

It’s true, grandchildren are one of the greatest gifts ever! Maximus stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on him. He was born in the middle of covid so I wasn’t allowed to see him until he got home from the hospital.

My Oldest Son, Chandler, Got Married

 

The Chandlers, (my son and his wife are both named Chandler!), had the most beautiful wedding. It’s tough for Momas to give away their sons too. Chandler married his perfect match!

Served On The Joyce Meyer Team

 

This was such a fun event! I served with several other ladies during Joyce Meyer’s event in Atlanta, GA. Joyce is a character...such spunk and dynamic personality.

Second Grandson, Ruger, was born

 

As our family grows, so has our relationships with one another as a family. It truly takes a village to fully support each new individual we are blessed with. Ruger is our most determined little human! He only knows one way...Ruger’s Way!

Spoke at a Women’s Retreat

 

One of the most important lessons I’ve ever learned was during this retreat. I went to help the other women attending, but what I discovered is I needed them even more than they needed me. As women, WE DO NEED EACH OTHER...and equine therapy is POWERFUL STUFF!

First Granddaughter Arrives, Jonnie Blair

 

Jonnie Blair decided to make her debut one day after Ruger’s birthday. She’s already Super Sassy and nicknamed Jo-Jo. The newly published POWER Planner has been dedicated to her. She will learn early how POWERFUL she is!
